How did you hear about Tiger Camp Hoops?
 

Welcome Parents and Campers!

Tiger Camp believes in building a solid foundation on which it can build and develop future athletes. At the base of this foundation, Tiger Camp endeavors to place an emphasis on fundamentals, having fun, and character development. Through the enthusiastic/high energy instruction of ball-handling, shooting, and defense, Tiger Camp coaches will ensure a positive, fun, and intense atmosphere for the shaping of young athletes.

New to Tiger Camp 2011!

New at Tiger Camp this year we will be adding speed and agility drills. Agility is defined by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, is the ability to change directions and gain speed without losing motor control. We will be adding age appropriate drills that will help campers with their speed, balance and coordination skills. We believe that these drills will relate to improving their basketball skills, and to participation in other sports as well.

What we will focus on:

Running Form: Running and forward motion drills, pump arms at 90 degrees.

Practice Sprinting: We will use fun sprinting games like red light, green light, tag, or relay games.

Jumping and Landing: Builds strength in joints, tendons and muscles. We will use plyometric drills like skips, and hops, and obstacle courses.
